Missoula Hunting Stores — Frequently Asked

How many gun and hunting stores are in Missoula, MT?

Our directory lists 17 independent hunting and gun stores in Missoula — about 4% of the 388 independent stores in Montana. The list comes from May 2026 federal firearms licensing records, with national chains and home-based license holders removed.

Do any Missoula shops sell used hunting gear?

4 of the Missoula stores listed here are licensed pawn-and-gun shops, which typically carry used firearms and gear, and many independent dealers also take trade-ins or run consignment racks. Call ahead — used inventory turns over fast.

What's the best way to save on hunting gear in Missoula?

Local shops earn their margin on service — sight-ins, bow tunes, honest advice. For the soft goods (camo systems, packs, boots, optics), buying used is the biggest lever: premium brands routinely go for 40–60% off retail on Second Nature, shipped anywhere in Montana.

Own one of these shops? We put the gear on your shelves — new or used: overstock, last season’s stock, demos, trade-ins — in front of hunters nationwide. Camo, packs, boots, optics, waders (no firearms or ammo). Free, and we’ll even build the listings from photos you text us. Claim your shop →
